We don’t just honour reflexology’s past — we’re fighting for its future.
Leading a bold new movement for clinical reflexology.
Honoring Eunice Ingham’s Legacy

Eunice Ingham, often called the "Mother of Reflexology," faced immense challenges when developing and promoting reflexology in the early 20th century. She wasn’t merely advocating for relaxation—she was proving that reflexology could bring lasting transformation and real results.
Yet today, reflexology is too often framed as a complementary or alternative therapy, a label that does not serve its growth or demonstrate its power. At The Moore Clinic, we refuse to diminish its impact. We are not afraid to be bold in honoring Ingham’s vision. She ruffled feathers to establish reflexology, and we will do the same to secure its rightful place in clinical practice.
This week, we voiced our frustration, sadness, and anger at the NHS’s decision to remove reflexologists from its list of services, making it harder for individuals to find qualified practitioners. This decision only strengthens our resolve to push for the recognition that reflexology deserves.
In response, we are setting out The Moore Clinic Manifesto—inspired by Ingham’s struggles but focused on the future:

1. Overcoming Skepticism
Ingham faced dismissal from the medical community and had to work tirelessly to prove reflexology’s effectiveness.
The Moore Clinic will engage with scientists and charities to promote reflexology as a clinical science. We will formally write to the Prime Minister and the Health Secretary to outline our concerns.
2. Advancing Research & Regulation
A future where reflexology is globally recognised as a respected clinical therapy, bridging the gap between natural health and modern medicine. Through our network of clinics and advanced training, we will lead the charge in changing how the world sees reflexology—not as relaxation, but as a frontline tool for healing.

3. Developing the Field
Through dedication and trial and error, Ingham mapped reflex points on the feet and hands. The Moore Clinic will integrate the latest knowledge, training, and research to ensure clients receive the most effective reflexology treatments possible.
4. Raising Awareness
Without modern marketing, Ingham traveled, lectured, and wrote to educate the public. The Moore Clinic will use both traditional and modern methods to embed reflexology into everyday life.

To my fellow clinical reflexologists, I ask you to join me and the Moore Clinic.
We all know the power of reflexology—it’s time to act with a shared vision and a bold voice.
Let’s push forward together and secure reflexology's future.
Who’s with me?
